today is the reason why i love august so much

today i turn 27. and i couldnt be happier. it is my birthday after all. but most of all because i have been saved by the blood of the lamb. and for me today, there is no greater joy but to know that i have an assurance in Christ. a freedom. a hope. a plan. and a future to serve him and glorify my lord and king. and because at 27 there's still so much to be done and accomplished. a lot of growing to do. a lot of places to see. and a lot of loving to share. so thank you lord for giving me this day. for this is the day in which you made me, and chose for me to come into the world. and now i'm all grown up. you've seen me grow and you've seen me cry and you've never left me. i love you god. and this day i say cheers to you, because today, my life is all about you.

and thank you lord, for being able to celebrate my birthday like a true miamian... hurricane Irene on it's way (and is then following me to rhode island. aaah) and of course, Cuban pastries...
