today im convinced

today im stronger than i was
but it's one of those days
when ive lost strength
when i fight my weaknesses faithfully
hoping to convince myself that it will be ok

today i feel courageous
unlike yesterday
im ready to fight and most days its comforting
but when at the feet of the battle
i quiver, i shiver
loosing grip of what i know
of what i tell myself to hold
that knowledge that His will is best
when in comparison to what i hope

today im limitless
i welcome the tears
the weaknesses and fears
i equip myself to embrace them
and by accepting their presence i overcome
i simply welcome them in and tackle them with God's love
i fight with his words, i fight with his strength
and peace surely comes my way

today im convinced

that today will soon end
that the dawn will arrive
bringing hope and mercies
smiles and victories
the holy spirit's whispering
surely they will come
just as they did today
