ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful lyrics. So often in life we do things based numerous things that influence and affect how we view ourselves-whether it is constantly striving to meet the expectations of the people we value (or feeling we fell short of meeting those expectations), or rejections from the people we love(d) (and this could be family, friends, or past loves), mistakes we made in the past, or past hurts. All these things can contribute to how we view ourselves, and sadly, how we delay/avoid doing things for God that are bigger than ourselves due to fears of inadequacy. It seems God often uses those who are beautifully imperfect-those who are not "there yet"- so that His strength is made perfect, and so that it will be obvious that it wasn't because of our efforts, and who we are, rather because of who He is. So often the focus is un "us/me" rather than on Him. I'm guilty.
